Marilyn Rhind

The driving force behind all of my work has always been colour, followed closely by texture and composition. I love the buttery feel of working with oil paint although, lately I have also been experimenting with the versatility of acrylics. The main body of work is landscape. I work loosely and often with pallet knives.
Although I am largely self taught I have taken great inspiration from the Welsh artists – Sir Kyffin Williams being a major influence.

I have been painting seriously for around 12 years and work from home every day in my garden studio. I have been successful in competition and exhibited widely where my work has always been appreciated.
