My vision is to transmit lightness and joy of our physical and metaphysical dimensions using rather vibrant colour. My dominant inspiration is drawn from Nature and the Landscapes of the countries I visit or live in. I work mainly with Acrylics but occasionally with Oils and Watercolour.
I have a BTEC Diploma in Graphic Design from the Reigate School of Art and Design, East Surrey College, England. I worked for a few years as a Graphic Designer in England before returning to full time painting for health reasons. I have been exhibiting and painting regularly since 1971 in various parts of the world. In1988, I was commissioned by London Underground’s Construction Company to paint large outdoor murals for their Construction sites at Bethnal Green, (this was136 feet long,) and the second smaller one at St John’s Wood Tube station. Both were temporary panels that subsequently were moved around to different Tube Construction sites. During 1978-82, I had executed several large murals in Mombasa, Kenya.
Was a member of the Dorking Group of Artists when living in Dorking, Surrey. Later we moved to Berkshire and I was a member of the Maidenhead Group of Artists as well as the Cookham Arts Club. I have been living in Macclesfield, Cheshire, since 2008 and exhibit regularly with Cheshire Artists Network and Artsxtra groups of artists.
